Dr. Sumedh Desai

Dr. Sumedh S Desai (PT), is an accomplished Sport Physiotherapist specializing in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Dry Needling, Strength & Conditioning, Physical Therapy, and Sports Biomechanics. He has done his Bachelors in Physiotherapy with Terna Physiotherapy College under the aegis of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. He also holds a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine (Physio) degree from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, under University of London, QMUL. As a part of his post-graduation he completed Football medicine with reputed faculty of Chelsea Football Club (English Premiere League). He was also a delegate at the Isokinetic Football Medicine Conference held in London in 2013.

With a rich sports industry background, he's the Founder & Chief Physiotherapy Consultant at Prep2Motion Physiotherapy and has now levied the role as a Director & Consultant Physiotherapist at AcktivOrtho Sports Injury Clinic in association with Prep2Motion Physiotherapy. Dr. Desai is proficient in English, Marathi, Hindi, and has a limited working proficiency in Gujarati.

His roles as Head Team Physiotherapist for Hyderabad FC and Team Physiotherapist for FC Pune City in the Indian Super League highlight his expertise. Dr. Desai also contributed to teams like AIFF Elite Academy U19, AIFF India U17, and Kenkre Football Club, providing injury assessment, trauma management, rehab, and more. His accomplishments extend to sports victories. Associated with AIFF Elite U19 team, which secured the U-19 I League gold thrice from 2015-2017, he was part of AIFF India U17's Subroto Cup win (2015) and India U18's bronze at SAFF U18 championship in Nepal (2017). Representing India in AFC U14 & U19 Championships further underscores his expertise.
